Aventura, Florida is a
relatively small suburban city (9.1
km2), hosting a population of about 30,
000 people. The name Aventura has
Spanish origins with a connotation of
adventure or an adventurous person. And

The city of Aventura is in North Eastern
Miami, specifically the Miami Dade

purely as a residential area of the

a significant influence on the city’s
prolific growth, especially as a

School, which ranks very high in
Florida’s top ten schools even though it
was only inaugurated in 2003.
Standing at a single meter from the sea
level, the city boasts of four amazing
beaches namely; Hallandale Beach, Sunny
Isles Beach, Golden Beach and North
Miami Beach. These beaches are the
finest in South Florida and they are
just minutes out of the city, via the
William H. Lehman Causeway. Aventura
features a pleasant tropical climate
with a perpetually warm and humid
atmosphere.
The summers gets magical here, truly
reminiscent of tropical blessings. The
round-the-year climate is largely
moderated by the Gulf Stream with summer
temperatures never dipping lower than
21°C and rising to as high as 35 °C.
The city’s median income for every
household is around $60. About 60% of
population speaks English as a first
language while 23% speak Spanish. The
transport system is also elaborate and
very convenient given that the city is
art the mid of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood
International Airport and Miami
International Airport.
The city has an efficient public shuttle
bus service run public bus service which
is free to city residents. The
Miami-Dade Transit also runs through the
city with the I-95 interstate highway
only 5 minutes away from downtown. So,
